According to the news report from CNN online news agency; whilst quoting Latvia-based Russian media outlet Meduza; they revealed that a new law on personal data has classified information about real estate owners in Russia that journalists previously used in their investigations.
Furthermore, it would interest you to know that It was reported that on 1 March 2023, the amendments to the law "On Personal Data" came into force in Russia, according to which the Federal Service for State Registration (Rosreestr) stopped publishing information about owners in extracts of the Unified State Register of Real Estate without their personal consent.
Spouses, cadastral engineers, notaries, law enforcement and judicial officers have the opportunity to obtain a full extract from the Rosreestr.
Any other third parties are now not able to receive this information without the real estate owner’s conformation statement.
