Desire Oparanozie, the former Super Falcons striker, has been granted the honorary membership of the Imo State Football Association.Â
Oparanozie revealed this prestigious recognition on her social media handle, expressing her gratitude for the honor. She thanked the Imo State FA Chairman and the executive committee members for bestowing this honor upon her, emphasizing that she does not take it lightly.Â
Last week, Oparanozie officially retired from professional football. Her impressive career included contributing to the Super Falcons' victories in four Women's Africa Cup of Nations tournaments and representing Nigeria at the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, marking her fourth appearance in the prestigious competition since her debut in 2011.
