According to the report from CNN, in a recent incident, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that three Israeli soldiers were injured by mortar shells fired from Lebanon across Israel's northern border.
The IDF revealed that the mortar shell launches targeted IDF posts in the Shtula area, resulting in the soldiers sustaining light injuries and being evacuated for medical treatment.
Subsequent to the initial attack, additional mortar shells were fired toward an IDF post in the Yiftah area, a kibbutz in northern Israel. In response, the IDF deployed artillery strikes against the sources of the fire.
Simultaneously, Lebanon's state-run National News Agency reported concentrated Israeli shelling near various border settlements, with several border villages reportedly subjected to attacks by Israeli aircraft.
