In the Instagram video posted by Lush Eby, Obi Cubana can be heard describing their wedding as the grandest traditional wedding ever held in her village, Obosi. He notes that the villagers were impressed and applauded the extravagance of the event.
Obi Cubana also remarked that his wife should be thankful to God for using a "village man" like him to lift her out of poverty. He said, "The biggest traditional wedding ever held in Obosi till today is our traditional wedding. Obosi people were clapping for me at the wedding ceremony because they were surprised. See her opening her mouth to call me a village man, just thank God, that He used a village man to rescue you from poverty."
