Refusal To Ask For Mercy From The Govt May Lead To Your Death In Prison—Primate Ayodele Tells Kanu

According to the report from Daily Post, Primate Elijah Ayodele, leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has urged Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), to appeal to the Nigerian government for his release.
During the launch of his 30th “Warning to the Nations” at his Lagos church on Saturday, Ayodele warned that Kanu might face death in detention if he does not seek a pardon from the government.

Ayodele’s comments come as Southeast governors and senators plan to meet with President Bola Tinubu to explore a political solution for Kanu’s continued imprisonment.

Kanu has been held by the Department of State Services (DSS) since June 2021 after being arrested in Kenya and returned to Nigeria. Although courts have granted him bail, the Nigerian government has refused to release him.

Primate Ayodele also made a dramatic prediction about Nigeria’s future. He stated that Nigeria will eventually break up, but not due to the efforts of Nnamdi Kanu or Sunday Igboho, another prominent separatist leader.

Ayodele described the country’s disintegration as an inevitable process that will occur naturally, without violence. He emphasized that the spirit of Nigeria’s founding fathers, like Tafawa Balewa, is dissatisfied with the current state of the nation.

“The break-up of Nigeria is unavoidable and will not be caused by Kanu or Igboho. Kanu needs to appeal to the government for his freedom, or he risks dying in detention,” Ayodele declared.

He further explained that prayer and fasting will not prevent this eventual division, as it is a result of deeper historical and spiritual forces.

Ayodele concluded by asserting that the fragmentation of Nigeria will begin from the North and will unfold without conflict.
